Amanda McMickle

Early Childhood Education Outdoor Learning Environments Network Program Manager

Amanda McMickle is a seasoned educator and leader with over two decades of experience in Texas's educational landscape. Currently serving as the Early Childhood Education Outdoor Learning Manager or Texas Children in Nature Network, she brings a wealth of expertise across diverse educational settings, from nature-based preschools to public ISDs. In her latest roles, Amanda has been instrumental in founding NEST (Nature-based Education Support in Texas) and spearheading Outdoor Learning in Texas - The Steve Lewis Project. Her commitment to innovative educational approaches is evident through her advisory positions on the Natural Start Alliance and the LiiNK Project. Furthermore, Amanda actively contributes to the governance of Tall Oaks School, Families in Nature, and the International Play Association-USA Chapter. Amanda is pursuing a PhD in Adult Education, Social Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at The University of the Incarnate Word.
