Join The Parents Climate Community, Get There ATX, and Austin Independent School District (AISD) staff for an inspiring and practical conversation about Austin’s growing Bike Bus movement—a community-driven initiative where students ride to school together along a set route, picking up classmates like a bus would, but on bikes. This webinar highlights how Bike Buses are helping students build safe cycling habits, gain independence, and confidently navigate their neighborhoods to reach parks, greenbelts, playgrounds, and schools.

We’ll walk through the process of starting a Bike Bus at your own school—what works, what’s challenging, and how to build a supportive community around it. AISD teachers and local partners will share real-world experiences, tips for practicing with students, and insights into collaborating with city programs and school communities. Whether you’re a parent, educator, or community advocate, you’ll leave with actionable steps to help bring a Bike Bus to life.
