Literacy in the Garden: Creating an Engaging Story Walk

September 7, 2022 2pm

A webinar with Cheryl Potemkin of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Botanical Research Institute of Texas.

StoryWalks are designed to engage guests in literacy learning, physical activity, and a connection to nature. First developed by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, we will take a look at different options to install and display your own StoryWalk. This in-depth look will discuss working within copyrights, choosing books, affordable and weather resistant display options, events, community partnerships, and a virtual walk through FWBG|BRIT's own StoryWalk on the Pollinator Pathway.
