Webinar with Brooke Mellen - Founder, Cultured Forest
Join Cultured Forest for a webinar looking at the research and recent trends surrounding Forest Therapy practices around the world while also increasing your understanding behind the theories surrounding this Japanese practice. Brooke Mellen who founded Cultured Forest is the presenter and she started the nature based well-being company when she recognized a personal need to connect with nature for well-being. She has been featured by the Today Show, WSJ Magazine and Vogue and is passionate about sharing what she has learned after studying forests as a place of well-being for the benefit of communities and the environment.
In particular, Brooke will share what she learned while studying Forest Bathing with Dr. Qing Li in Japan and talk about methodologies for gathering Forest Therapy research that can be used to secure support and funding. She will also discuss a few activities that can be done with children and adults in outdoor spaces and everyone will enjoy a guided nature meditation demonstrating the Cultured Forest method of nature mindfulness.
Participants will learn about existing Forest Bathing research and programming, the story behind the formation of Cultured Forest and its impacts in urban environments such as New York and Austin, discover ways to conduct Forest Therapy research at a low cost and discover exercises that you can use to help your community find well-being in nature.
